Site rules
Terms of Use
Use FreeMinecraftMods as a discovery, education, and tooling website, not as the official support team for third-party projects.
Official source links
Downloads for third-party mods, packs, maps, skins, servers, and plugins should open on official project pages. Files are not mirrored unless explicit permission exists or the project is owned by the site owner.
Creator ownership
Project names, images, screenshots, trademarks, and creator names belong to their respective owners. Listings are for discovery, attribution, and navigation.
Accuracy
Metadata may update from external APIs or cached data. Always check the official project page before installing content, especially for version support, dependencies, and licenses.
Corrections
If a creator, license, image, or source link is wrong, contact the site so it can be corrected or removed.
Creator accounts and project details
Creator accounts are intended for legitimate project owners. Claiming a profile you do not control, impersonating a creator, or submitting misleading verification information is not allowed. Verified creator tools should keep creator credit, source links, and project details accurate.
Use expectations
Discovery pages are not replacement source pages
FreeMinecraftMods helps players compare Minecraft projects before they leave for an official source. A listing can summarize public metadata, explain compatibility questions, credit a creator, and link to related guides, but the official project page controls the downloadable file, release notes, license, support channel, and current compatibility details. If the official source and a cached listing disagree, use the official source and report the mismatch.
Acceptable use
- Do not use the site to impersonate project creators, submit false ownership claims, or hide the original source of a project.
- Do not submit links to malware, adult content, gambling, deceptive downloads, fake launchers, or mirrors that violate creator terms.
- Do not scrape the site in a way that harms availability, bypasses safety limits, or stores account-only data outside its intended context.
- Do not use community tools to harass users, flood pages with repeated content, or post misleading project claims.
Accounts, favorites, follows, builder features, creator claims, saved packs, Q&A, and collaboration tools may require sign-in when the site needs to store data for a specific person. Public pages may include third-party project names, screenshots, icons, and trademarks for identification and commentary; ownership remains with the respective rights holders.

Reliability boundaries
External services and changing project data
The website may use public APIs, cached metadata, source pages, user reports, and creator-submitted details to build discovery pages. Those inputs can change without advance notice. A project can move platforms, remove a file, rename a creator profile, alter licensing terms, or stop supporting a loader after a FreeMinecraftMods page was last reviewed. Users are responsible for checking the destination source before installing anything related to a third-party project.
FreeMinecraftMods may change search results, category pages, noindex rules, account features, and tool behavior when necessary to improve quality, prevent abuse, comply with law, reduce thin pages, protect users, or respect creator requests. A page being available today does not promise permanent indexing or inclusion in sitemaps.
Links to third-party sites are provided for navigation and verification. Those sites have their own rules, privacy policies, download systems, moderation standards, and community expectations. Leaving FreeMinecraftMods means the visitor is interacting with that destination, not with a file mirror controlled by this site.
