Removal requests

If you own content shown on this site and want it corrected or removed, email contact@freeminecraftmods.com with the listing URL, the official source URL, your ownership information, and the requested action.

What can be removed or corrected

Incorrect creator names or profile links.
Outdated official links.
Images that should not be shown.
Listings for content that should not be indexed.

Response approach

Valid requests should be handled by correcting credit, replacing media, updating links, or removing the listing.

Creator profile disputes

If a creator profile, project listing, screenshot, or attribution appears incorrect, contact us with the official project URL and proof of ownership. Disputed creator claims can be reviewed and corrected.

How copyright and attribution reports are handled

FreeMinecraftMods normally links to third-party project pages instead of hosting third-party files. Even so, a discovery page can still display a project title, creator name, icon, screenshot, summary, or other public metadata that a rights holder may want corrected or removed. A clear request helps the site distinguish between a source correction, a creator-credit dispute, a media removal request, and a formal copyright notice.

A useful copyright message identifies the FreeMinecraftMods URL, the copyrighted work, the official source or ownership evidence, the specific material at issue, and the action requested. If the concern is not copyright but incorrect attribution, say that directly and provide the official creator or project page that should replace the current information. Do not send private account passwords, private private financial details, or unrelated files as proof.

Possible outcomes

Replace or remove a screenshot, icon, or creator image from a listing.
Correct the creator name, source URL, project type, license label, or platform relationship.

Counter-notices, repeat complaints, and ownership disputes may require additional verification. The goal is to respect creators and rights holders while keeping legitimate source navigation, commentary, and correction paths available for players.

Information that makes a rights request actionable

A strong request explains who owns the material, where the material appears on FreeMinecraftMods, where the authorized source can be found, and which action should be taken. If a screenshot or icon is the problem, name the image or describe its placement on the page. If a project should not be listed at all, explain whether the issue is copyright, creator impersonation, unsafe redistribution, private content, or another reason.

Because many Minecraft projects are mirrored, forked, ported, reuploaded, or discussed across several platforms, the site may need to compare the reported listing with public source evidence before changing it. Clear source URLs reduce mistakes. If there are multiple creators or a project has changed ownership, include the current official profile and any public statement that explains the transfer.

FreeMinecraftMods may remove material quickly when the request is clear, or may ask for more information when ownership, source relationship, or requested action is ambiguous. Repeated misuse of copyright requests to suppress accurate attribution, criticism, comparison, or source navigation may be handled separately from good-faith removal requests.
