New Minecraft projects from official sources
Explore newly published Minecraft mods, resource packs, shaders, datapacks, modpacks, plugins, and worlds from CurseForge and Modrinth. Listings use the same project cards, filters, creator credit, source comparison, and project pages as the rest of FreeMinecraftMods.
New listings receive the same images, descriptions, versions, loaders, download data, related projects, creator links, and official-source buttons used elsewhere.
Project pages direct visitors to the creator's official CurseForge or Modrinth listing for files, support, licenses, and changelogs.

How to approach brand-new projects
A newly published project may be useful long before it becomes popular, but popularity is not the same as compatibility. First match the exact Minecraft version and loader. Then read the official description, dependency list, installation notes, license, and file history. For a long-term world, create a backup and test the project in a separate instance before adding it to your main save.
New projects may have a small download count simply because they were published recently. Treat screenshots, clear documentation, creator history, version support, and a usable official download page as stronger early signals than the raw count alone. FreeMinecraftMods keeps source labels visible so you can continue to the official listing and make that decision with the creator's current information.
Why the feed is separate from curated collections
This page answers “what was published recently?” Curated collections answer a different question: “what is a strong starting point for a specific goal?” A project can appear here immediately after publication without being described as the best option for every player. Use curated performance, building, vanilla-plus, client-side, and server-plugin collections when you want an editorial starting point instead of a chronological feed.
Before installing
How to evaluate a newly published project
A new listing can be promising without being ready for a long-term world. Check whether the author names supported Minecraft versions, identifies the correct loader, lists required dependencies, and provides a real changelog or release file. A clear official page is a stronger signal than a large download number alone.
- Confirm that the newest file matches your exact Minecraft version and loader.
- Read the dependencies and incompatibilities before launching the game.
- Test the project in a separate profile and a copied world.
- Keep the official source page bookmarked for updates and bug reports.
Maturity signals
What changes as a project becomes established
Early projects often have fewer screenshots, limited version coverage, and a short support history. That is not automatically bad, but it changes how carefully you should test. Look for release notes that explain changes, issue reports that receive useful responses, and updates that preserve compatibility instead of silently replacing files.
FreeMinecraftMods keeps newly discovered projects in the same browser as established projects, but the official project page remains the source of truth for files, support, and creator instructions.
