FreeMinecraftMods is a Minecraft discovery and tooling website. Downloads open on official project pages, while accounts, saved features, creator tools, and optional AI helpers use limited data to make the site work.

1. Information we collect
When you browse the public site, hosting and security services may process basic technical information such as page requests, browser type, approximate region, device type, referrer, and error information. The site also uses browser storage for non-sensitive preferences such as cookie choices, filters, recently viewed project state, theme behavior, and saved UI settings.
When you create an account, we collect the email address you provide, password authentication data, session information, profile settings, saved favorites, follows, saved modpacks, creator claim records, proof-code verification details, dashboard preferences, community posts, and support requests. Passwords should be stored only as hashed authentication data, not plain readable text.
2. How we use information
We use information to operate accounts, keep users signed in, display favorites and follows, save modpacks, protect creator claims, provide support, prevent abuse, improve project discovery, measure site performance, and keep community areas usable.
3. Project data and external APIs
FreeMinecraftMods pulls project metadata from official and public sources such as Modrinth, CurseForge through a private Cloudflare proxy, Minecraft skin sources, server status services, and creator-provided links. This may include project names, creator names, icons, screenshots, summaries, categories, versions, download counts, update dates, and official source URLs. These services have their own privacy policies and terms.
4. Accounts and public activity
Favorites and follows are intended to help signed-in users save projects. Likes and dislikes may be used publicly in combined counts on project pages. We do not intentionally publish your email address with a like, dislike, favorite, or follow. Creator profiles, collaboration posts, and Q&A posts may show the public name or creator name you choose to use.
5. Saved tools and account records
Saved packs, creator records, follows, community publishing records, and moderation records may be stored in the site database so the feature can work across devices. Older account records may be kept when needed for historical support, security, or compliance.
6. Cookies and local preferences
The site uses browser storage and cookies for practical preferences, session behavior, and safety controls. Visitors can clear browser storage or use the cookie-preferences control where available. Clearing browser storage may reset saved choices because the browser no longer has the preference record.
7. Modpack Builder and optional AI tools
The Modpack Builder can be used without signing in for generation and export. Sign-in is required only when saving packs, editing saved packs, publishing community packs, or storing other account data. Prompts, crash-log excerpts, or compatibility warnings you submit to optional AI tools may be processed by Cloudflare Workers AI when available. Do not submit private information, passwords, API keys, tokens, or anything you would not want processed by an external AI service.
8. Email and communications
If email features are enabled, the site may use an email provider to send login, account, verification, support, correction, or creator-claim messages. Signed-in account holders can opt in to the weekly FreeMinecraftMods roundup, which uses the account email address and can be turned off from account settings at any time.
9. Data sharing
We may share limited information with service providers that help run the site, including Cloudflare for hosting and security, an email provider for email delivery, public project APIs for metadata, analytics providers if enabled, and AI providers when optional AI tools are used. We may also disclose information when required for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or to protect the rights of creators and users.
10. Data retention
Account records, creator claims, favorites, follows, saved packs, reactions, moderation records, and support records may be kept while your account exists or as long as needed for site operation, security, dispute handling, and legal requirements. Browser local storage can be cleared from your own browser settings.
11. Your choices
You can use the site without an account for browsing, builder generation, export, and public guides. You can log out, clear browser storage, manage cookie settings in your browser, and contact FreeMinecraftMods for account, creator-credit, privacy, or deletion requests.
12. Security
The site uses Cloudflare Pages Functions, environment secrets, and a server-side database binding for backend features. API keys should be kept out of GitHub and stored only as Cloudflare secrets. No website can guarantee perfect security, so avoid reusing passwords from other services.
13. Children and younger users
FreeMinecraftMods is about Minecraft content discovery and is intended to stay appropriate for a general audience. Younger users should use accounts, community tools, and AI tools with parent or guardian awareness where required.
14. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the website adds or changes accounts, analytics, AI tools, creator tools, community features, or project data sources. The updated date above should change when major updates are made.
15. Contact
For privacy, account, creator-credit, or data questions, contact contact@freeminecraftmods.com.
Privacy choices
Cookies and local preferences
The site uses browser storage for practical preferences such as cookie choices, filters, saved UI state, and account-related session behavior. Visitors should be able to revisit cookie preferences. Clearing browser storage may reset those choices because the browser no longer has the saved preference.
Project discovery also depends on external public metadata. When a user opens a third-party project source, that destination may process data under its own privacy policy. FreeMinecraftMods tries to make that transition clear by labeling official links and avoiding hidden download mirrors.
