Project overview

Adds various food-related HUD improvements. This is a mostly client-side mod, but it needs to be on the server in order to display accurate saturation/exhaustion values on the client. Note: AppleSkin provides information about some mechanics that are invisible by default (it does not add or change any mechanics). To read about Minecraft's exhaustion and saturation mechanics, see the Minecraft wiki article on Hunger Features Adds food value information to tooltips: Adds a visualization of saturation and exhaustion to the HUD: Adds a visualization of potential hunger/saturation restored while holding food: Adds a visualization of potential health restored while holding food: Adds hunger/saturation/exhaustion info to the debug overlay (F3) Syncs the value of saturation and exhaustion to the client. Misc You are welcome to add this mod to any modpack you'd like. Use on vanilla servers One of the following plugins can be used to get the saturation/exhaustion to work when connecting to vanilla Minecraft servers: https://github.com/Siebrenvde/AppleSkinSpigot https://github.com/jmattingley23/AppleSkinSpigot https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/bukkit-plugins/paperapple

FreeMinecraftMods decision guide

This mod is most relevant to players looking for Food, Map and Information on NeoForge, Fabric, Forge, undefined. Treat those labels as discovery hints, then verify the exact file and dependency list on the official project page.

The source record was updated on Jul 17, 2026, which is a recent freshness signal. A recent date does not guarantee support for every loader or Minecraft version, so still inspect the current file list.

What to verify before choosing a file

  • Confirm that the file is published by the credited creator on the linked official source.
  • Match the Minecraft version exactly instead of relying only on a broad category label.
  • Read dependencies, incompatibilities, and changelog notes before updating an existing instance.
  • Match the loader or server platform and its required version. Forge and NeoForge are not interchangeable.
  • Back up worlds and configuration files before testing the project in a long-term save or public server.
