Project overview

Turn ore into a different ore. All it costs is power. The Ore Transmuter is a single, focused machine block: feed it an ore item and FE, and it slowly converts it into a different type of ore — no smelting, no fuel, just electricity. How it works Place raw ore (or any item with a transmuting recipe) in the input slot, wire in power, and watch it convert into the output ore over time, furnace-style. Converting down the rarity ladder (say, diamond → iron) is fast and cheap. Converting up (iron → diamond) is slow and costs sharply more energy per tier — no free lunches. Ships with 56 built-in conversions covering every pairwise combination of coal, copper, iron, redstone, lapis, gold, diamond, and emerald. Power Runs on standard FE (Forge Energy) — the same energy standard used by Mekanism, Applied Energistics 2, and most other tech mods on NeoForge. Plug in a Mekanism Universal Cable, an AE2 Energy Acceptor, or any other FE-compatible cable and it just works. Data-driven Every conversion is a JSON recipe. Modpack authors and addon devs can add, remove, or rebalance conversions freely without touching code. Crafting : Iron/Copper/Iron, Redstone/Furnace/Redstone, Iron/Copper/Iron.

FreeMinecraftMods decision guide

This mod is most relevant to players looking for Ores and Resources on NeoForge. Treat those labels as discovery hints, then verify the exact file and dependency list on the official project page.

The source record was updated on Jul 27, 2026, which is a recent freshness signal. A recent date does not guarantee support for every loader or Minecraft version, so still inspect the current file list.

What to verify before choosing a file

  • Confirm that the file is published by the credited creator on the linked official source.
  • Match the Minecraft version exactly instead of relying only on a broad category label.
  • Read dependencies, incompatibilities, and changelog notes before updating an existing instance.
  • Match the loader or server platform and its required version. Forge and NeoForge are not interchangeable.
  • Back up worlds and configuration files before testing the project in a long-term save or public server.
